View All Web Analytics in a Single Application?

Is there a web service and/or application which will allow me to monitor the measurements from multiple analytics services? I'd like a single place to view the information from Google Analytics, Yahoo! Web Analytics, Mint, Quantcast, etc.

Finding terms surrounding a trending hashtag?

I'm looking for a way to find "sub-trends", or words that are trending beneath a larger trend. For instance, say "#foo" is the hashtag for a conference. Searching for "#foo" only gives you a general overview of what people are talking about -- if "#foo" moves too quickly, it becomes really difficult to track disparite conversations at #foo.

If "#bar" and "#abc" are two different sessions at "#foo", one can find more specific information by searching for "#foo #bar" or "#foo #abc"; yet, how would one find out about the existence of these surrounding hashtags, i.e., sub-trends?

If you look at the screenshot for Peoplebrowsr, there's a panel that looks for "words surrounding [trend]," which seems to be exactly what I'm looking for.

Is there a way to accomplish this more simply, i.e., without paying $149 /mo. for Peoplebrowsr?

Thanks!

Update: Another service that can do this is Twazzup (click for example). The "Community" panel has some limited info on surrounding words; is there a tool that does this, but with more detail?

How to download Google Analytics data for my web domain automatically

I have a web domain on which I use Google Analytics to track users. I want to be able to download a report for my domain automatically (by a server running a scheduled job) via a web API every day.

I have looked at the Google Developers documentation to try to find out how to do this, but I couldn't find a simple step-by-step guide for this particular use case.

Is anyone able to either a) outline the steps required to achieve this, or b) point me to an existing step-by-step guide?

What I have done already:

  1. Create a Google Developers service account.
  2. Added the email address of the service account to the list of users who can access the analytics data for my domain.

as described here. However, that page then goes on to use tokens and embed graphs. I just want a simple script to download data via a single http request (if possible).

The query explorer is also useful.

Can Google Analytics analyze usage of my Google Play app page?

It is possible to configure a Google Analytics UA for a Google Code project.
Similarly, is it possible to configure a Google Analytics UA for a Google Play app?

Context: The current trend for app developers is to market/link/print their Google Play URL directly, rather than their own website's URL.
While this make it easier for users to install the app (one less click), this removes the webmaster's ability to analyze where visitors are coming from.

Commercial statistics webapp similar to Google Analytics? [closed]

I'm looking for some service similar to Google Analytics and with a better privacy policy than Google's services.

Can someone please recommend some good commercial webapps for website statistics. My needs are not that demanding, only need the most basic of service, but hopefully as real time as possible.

What Shopify app runs on sl-promoserver.herokuapp.com

I was just going over some configuration on the Shopify store when I ran into this

<img src='https://sl-promoserver.herokuapp.com/conversion?order={{order_number}}&shop_domain={{shop.permanent_domain}}&subtotal_price={{subtotal_price}}&total_price={{total_price}}&code={{discounts.first.code}}&line_items={% for item in line_items %}{{item.quantity}},{% endfor %}' width='1' height='1'></img>

It sits in Additional Content & Scripts box in Checkout configuration. It's some kind of analytics service but I don't think that it's either sumAll or MarketBrain that I'm using. Definitely should've commented this.

Does anyone know what runs on sl-promoserver.herokuapp.com? The name makes me wonder if this was to be just a temporary mechanism for collecting data. I wonder if it does indeed belong to sumAll or MarketBrain.

self-referral Google analytics

I have been asked why this site is getting a high self-referral on a site. We are using a custom tracker script that loads GA up and adds events to elements but it doesn't do more then load GA.

The Question is, to be clear: With everything given below, what would/could be done to stop self-referrals? All known and accepted fixes are applied.

The url that has all the self-referral is at http://admission.wsu.edu/applications/index.html

Here is a shot of the stats

enter image description here

What the javascript does is put out basically

var domain = "admission.wsu.edu";
var account_id = "UA-xxx-xxx";

pageTracker = _gat._createTracker(account_id);
pageTracker._initData();

pageTracker._setDomainName(domain);
pageTracker._addIgnoredRef(domain);
//pageTracker._setAllowLinker(settings.allowLinker); // skiped

and is set up so that it fallows most any tips from

https://www.google.com/#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=google+analytics+prevent+self+referral&oq=google+a&gs_l=hp.3.1.35i39l2j0l2.2483.9554.0.12135.8.8.0.0.0.0.465.1569.0j6j1j0j1.8.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.vLMd0qUkSIc&pbx=1&fp=1&bpcl=36601534&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&cad=b

Some other notes here is that we have used the Google Debug tools to probe where it's coming from, but here is an example output of the debug tool from onload through one click on the "freshman" box.

I have inspected like crazy to find where this self-referral is coming from and how to prevent it as it's only coming from this one area. Anyone have any insight on the cause and correct of this issue?

How to see click throughs for Google Plus posts?

I'm relatively new to Google Plus. As far as I can tell, it's impossible to see click throughs via the platform. Click the "down arrow" in the upper right corner of a post and you will see this menu:

Google Plus Activity

"View post activity" will show you +1's and reshares, but no click through data. And Dashboard view doesn't seem to provide this info either.

Is it possible to track clicks on posted links in Google Plus?

Tracking other accounts on Twitter

I'd like to track multiple accounts and keywords on Twitter and receive all @ posts regarding the accounts in one feed and all # posts regarding the keywords in another. Then I'd like to be able to monitor if I engage with users that mentioned these accounts or keywords by tagging certain Tweets and monitoring if I replied to them.

From there, ideally, I'd be able to analyze the results of my Tweets to them to see how effective they are across the different keywords, accounts, etc. and whether or not people click the links I post.

I've been using TweetDeck but I can't find out how to put all the account feeds or hashtags in one column, nor does it provide any analytics.

How can I better use TweetDeck to accomplish this?

Where can I find statistics and other information about a webapp? [closed]

When I want to find out more about a webapp and its company, where should I look?

For example I really like rememberthemilk - how can I find out how many users (avg) they have?

I tried looking at alexa but their data doesn't make a lot of sense for webapps (how do you count pageviews in a webapp?).

Gather data from Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn of 250 people

I'm currently doing research on social media usage. We (my research partner and I) target a group of 250 people. We 'test' them with on the following indicators:

Twitter

If they have a Twitter account:

  • How many tweets on date A and date B do they have(for an average amount in a period of time)?
  • How many followers on date A and date B (for an average amount in a period of time)?
  • How many times are his/her tweets retweeted between date A and B?

Facebook

If they have a Facebook account:

  • How many friends on date A and date B (same reason as for Twitter)?
  • How many likes on date A and date B (same reason as for Twitter)?

Linked-In

  • If they have a LinkedIn account, how many connections on date A and date B (same reasons as for Twitter)?

By 'the amount on date A and date B' -> I mean the total amount of ex. tweets he/she had on that date, not the newly created tweets on that date.

I know I have to collect all those usernames by myself. But when talking about collecting the data: Is there any way I could automate this? What tools do you recommend ? I've seen a lot of Twitter/FB analysis tools, but none seem to do exactly what I want (although the tool doesn't need to make an average amount over time (Excel can do that), it should be able to analyze the total amount of tweets/likes etc on a certain date).

Huge increase in Facebook traffic are there facebook analytics to see how people found us ?

We've got a company facebook page, we rarly update it, or engage with our audience, but today i went on to google analytics for our company website, and saw this enter image description here.

To put this into perspective we usually get between 1 and 0 people coming through facebook each day to our site.

Along with the increase in traffic we got a large increase in likes, we have no idea who these people are, or why so many people have visited our FB page and then clicked on our website. (i recon about 6000 people must have been on our FB page today, baring in mind that only a small % of them would then click though to our company website.)

Does facebook have built in analytics to :

  1. Stat's ie how many page view our company page has had today
  2. a referals view ti see were these people came from

Is this real or could it be a malicious bot ?

How can I keep track of when videos get a large number of views?

I monetize my Youtube videos, but to avoid annoying my regular subscribers I set my video defaults to disable the "TrueView" ads (the video ads) but enable the less-annoying overlay ads on new videos. My plan is I'll use less annoying ads on the majority of the videos so I don't annoy my subscribers, but on very popular videos I'll enable the TrueView ads since A) that's where the money is anyway and B) most of my "regulars" have already seen the view without the extra annoyance.

So I'd like to know when videos reach a threshold of say 1000 views. For now I've been glancing at the Video Manager page to see if any large view counts pop up, but old videos rapidly pop off the first page. I have a large number of videos over 1000 views already, so the "most viewed" page also isn't useful for seeing which new posts have hit over 1000 views.

How can I most easily track which videos have recently gotten over 1000 views or at least which videos are recently abnormally popular, ideally with Youtube's included analytics/pages on Youtube itself? The "Top Ten Videos" part of the Overview section in Analytics isn't super helpful either, as it contains many old but still popular posts.

Does Mashery fit my needs? [closed]

There's a lot of non-technical info on the Mashery site. And it's stated everywhere that Mashery is all about API management.

I have three questions about it:

  1. What is API management in plain English?

  2. How does the integration process look like? (Should I change my program? Should my existing users change their programs? If both answers are "no" then how does it work?)

  3. I have a stateless application with RESTful API which is deployed on many servers. I need to obtain statistics on:

    a) Incoming requests: HTTP headers, path, request body, time stamp, instance ID;

    b) Exceptions: request identifier, error type, error details, time stamp;

    c) Requests processing: start time stamp, duration of the overall request processing.

And then I also need combined (merged) results (as graphs maybe). Does Mashery fit these requirements?

Can Google Analytics track Javascript or .NET version usage?

I know that Google Analytics requires javascript to work, so I doubt it tracks that. But what about .NET version? Is there a way to view what .NET versions people are using on my site using Google Analytics?
